Nomad has just released a new build that corrects every issue caused by the last updates to EVE. So, if your problems started with the latest updates, Download and instal the current build 5.0.41 and run Setup EVE again and start with the new Default Config. Remember, once you get the Default Config, when you start making changes, save it with a different name.
Also, once you have everything setup, make sure that People and Places in EVE is sorting bookmarks A-Z, going down. Not Z-A...... |

In the Document section, there is now a spreadsheet that shows the current positions (#'s) that you will need to mine in fleet mode. It covers Fleet Commander, Wing Commander, Squad Commander, and Squad Member. The first 2 columns are the current defaults. |

GhostWiki has been installed. I am hoping this will get used as a "troubleshooting with solutions" sort of area, but it is available for whatever use the community would like.

GhostTrainer v3 Released!
This is a complete re-write of the automated training software. All previous timing issues have been resolved, and several interface features have been added.
To prepare Eve to use the new GhostTrainer, follow these simple steps:
- Dock the character sheet to the Station Services window while docked
- Stretch the character sheet top to bottom of the 1024x768 Eve window
- Close the character portrait at the top of the character sheet
- Set the sheet to "Only show current skills" and "Only toggle one group at a time"
- Ensure the first skill group is closed
- Set Eve to Identify WIndow
- Color settings are irrelevent
- Done!
A few of the features:
- Import EveMon plans in either text (*.txt) or XML(*.xml) format
- Right-click character area for additional information and functions
- Color-coded signals if a character is not active, or if a skill ends during downtime
- Can now start a new skill even if one is already training
- User-definable button art and background

You can now update your Virtual Mart profile/info. If you didn't include your first and last name, please do so ASAP. Orders without a first and last name attached to the order will sit in a dead folder. It's not easy to match orders from the store to payment notices from PayPal all the time. When I can, I do. However, now Pilots have the ability to update your profile/info in the Virtual Mart shopping cart info. So, to avoid any delays, please update it with your first and last names as they are shown on the PayPal account that you are using. Purchases after 1-25-09 that are blank will be placed in a dead mail folder and the PayPal payment notice will go into a folder for Waiting for Order.
I'm having to do this because I have accidently sent licenses with features to one buyer that belonged to another buyer because I had to guess which one went with which order. So, to avoid this from happening again, the policy above must now be in effect. No exceptions. Update your data. First and last name as associated with your PayPal account. Your info will remain safe and will not be available to the public in any way.

After much consideration, I have come to the conclusion that instead of writing a new PDF, it will better serve new GhostMiner, as well as the older users, to create video files to show how to resolve a problem. I have had several comments made to me in ventrilo about the videos already available.
So, I will be searching through the forums over the next few weeks and making videos to show you how to fix the problems every one is talking about on them. I will also be creating videos to show how to use some of the less known features in GhostMiner such as View-Shift and the reason to use it.
I will also create videos showing how to tweak certain settings to help improve GhostMiners Stealth abilities. |

Attention to New Buyers:
We know that when you buy GhostMiner/Trainer, that you are excited about getting it running. However, we have to process the payments sent from PayPal, and then enter the information into the DATA Base. This is done by Mr.C at least once a day. Rest Assured that if you have purchased the program, you should receive your GhostSuite.license file within 48 hours of your purchase. Please be patient. Mr.C has a steady workload that is dedicated specifically to just CnC Mining. This is his full time job.
No other mining program has a staff member that works on/for the program full time. Mr.C does. He provides live help via Ventrilo 12 hours a day, at least 3 days a week and is always working on different items for the program and website, on-top of providing live help.
The hours for Ventrilo help are: (Central Standard Time U.S. -5 GMT)
- Mondays: 10 am 10 pm
- Tuesdays: 10 am to 10 pm
- Wednesdays: 10 am to 10 pm
- Thursday: Only License Files will be issued.

If you have purchased GhostMiner, you will need to watch Installing GhostMiner V5, Creating the 2nd Desk-Top Icon for your miner, Locating the Eve user_---.dat files, and the Setting up GhostMiner V5 Videos. These videos shows you what you need to do to get GhostMiner running, and are available through the link at the top of each page. Some are even available for downloading, in the download section.
The video section also includes several videos that will help you resolve a few problems that you may have with targeting rats, the OCR engines ability to read ranges and amounts, as well as other common problems. Mr.C will also be adding videos, to show you how to tweak GhostMiner, to make it more random, more efficient, and harder to track.
Mr.C will also be expanding the videos to include GhostTrainer. ASAP
Here's how to normalize vent:
- Go to Setup
- Enable Direct Sound
- Select the SFX Button
- Select Compressor and click Add.
- Under Compressor Properties use the following settings
- Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. Average is around 15 - 20
- Attack = 0.01
- Release = Around 500
- Threshold = Around -30
- Ratio = 100
- Pre delay = 4.0

Attention new users:
GhostMiner is not a collection of simple, timer-driven macros! It is a complex independant program that uses literally hundreds of editable settings. All of them have to be set correctly for the program to work properly.
YOU MUST RUN THE 'EVE SETUP' ON THE 'TOOLS' MENU!
There is even a nag window to remind you to do so. We offer technical support that is absolutely second to none. However, you must be willing to meet us half way.
IF YOU HAVE NOT RUN 'EVE SETUP' LOCATED ON THE TOOLS MENU, LIVE TECHNICAL SUPPORT CAN NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEMS YOU WILL CREATE.
If you have run Eve Setup and are still experiencing problems, we offer live voice support on Ventrilo, and have an active community of exceptionally helpful pilots. Please look at the Video section to see if there is a video that addresses the problem you are having, prior to posting threads on the forum.

No, No and No. Excluding the cargo window for your ship, the only window you need to move is the drone bay, in the station fittings menu, click on drone bay to open it. It should be docked under the Cargo Hold of your ship, let it snap to it.
DON'T MOVE ANY OF THE REST OF THEM!
When you start the program, the only windows that need to be open are: Cargo Hold and Items bay. The chat window can't be closed. Do not leave People n Places open, you'll get an error. |
